An official announcement on Tuesday stated that STATE-OWNED NHAI has signed an agreement to establish a multi-modal logistics park (MMLP) in Nagpur at an estimated cost of ₹673 crore.
According to the release, this initiative is expected to be the first Maharashtra-based Medium-Term Loan Program (MMLP) under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. “M/s DC Multimodal Park (Nagpur) Limited, an SPV of M/S Delta Bulk Shipping India pvt. ltd, and NHAI have inked an agreement for the establishment of Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Nagpur. The Public Private Partnership model will be used to create the MMLP over 150 acres, with a projected expense of ₹673 crore,” it stated.
The statement states that the MMLP will offer value-added services in addition to infrastructure including bulk/break-bulk cargo terminal handling, warehouses, cold storages, intermodal transfers, and handling facilities.
