MoU likely for academic and research development
To increase international connectivity in academics and research Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University is likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with America.
An advisor from the American Commercial Consulate Mike Hankey visited RTMNU on Thursday. He discussed with the students at Dr A K Dorle Hall of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and later interacted with the university officials at the Jamnalal Bajaj Administrative Building. Those present included the Pro-VC Dr Sanjay Dudhe, Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase, Deans Dr Prashant Maheshwari, Dr Sanjay Kavishwar, Dr Shyamrao Koreti, Dr Prashant Kadu, Director of Innovation, Research Dr Smita Acharya, Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences Department Dr Pramod Khedekar, Head of Political Science Dr Vikas Jambhulkar, Dr Vandana Dhurve of Zoology Department were prominent among those present.
Hanky was informed about various activities undertaken by the University, including the Reaching the Unreached, and implementation of the National Education Policy.
A discussion was also held on cyber security, artificial intelligence and various challenges of the 21st century.
Dr Kadu introduced Hanky to the audience. The students and teachers were present in large numbers.
