Even though RTM Nagpur University’s athletes compete in a variety of sports and win medals, 60 to 70 percent of them are unable to play to the best of their abilities because of financial constraints. The university has made the decision to support these athletes and has decided to give financial support to 100 gifted athletes who are struggling financially.
In honor of the university’s centennial, the Management Council has launched a program to identify 100 gifted athletes who are struggling financially but have the potential to elevate the university’s and the nation’s reputations in sports. These athletes will receive 5,000 rupees per month for specialized training, a nutritious diet, and sports supplies.
As a result, this plan will begin in the 2023–2024 session. According to this plan, 50 boys and 50 girls will be chosen for the project based on their financial situation and past athletic performance. In terms of the financial status, the government-mandated EBC criteria will be taken for granted. When choosing the recipients, preference will be given to athletes whose parents work in government or semi-government service.
