AIIMS, Nagpur is prepared to launch a “Heart Failure Clinic” on Thursdays starting this week, under the direction of Dr (Prof) M Hanumantha Rao, Executive Director, and with the unwavering support of Vijay Kumar Nayak, Deputy Director (Admin), and Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar, Officiating Medical Superintendent.
Dr. Ravinulata Venkata Kumar, a professor of cardio-vascular and thoracic surgery, as well as the director and vice chancellor of the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati, were present at the clinic’s opening. This heart failure clinic will be held every Thursday by the highly skilled cardiac team of AIIMS, Nagpur.This group of medical professionals includes cardiac anesthetist Dr. Omshubham Asai, cardiologists Drs. Arijit Kumar Ghosh, Sagar Makode, and Gunjan Godeshwar, and thoracic and cardiac-vascular surgeons Drs. Pravin Salunkhe, Hemant Kumar Bodhankar, and Frankleena Parage.
One of the leading causes of death in the nation and around the world is heart failure. The goal of the heart failure clinic is to address issues that patients with heart failure face. Optimizing anti-failure medical therapy, rehabilitation, lowering the rate of patient admissions, and shortening hospital stays will all be made easier by this.
