Considering the possible threat of JN-1 variant of Corona, the entire health system of Nagpur Municipal Corporation has been prepared. According to the instructions received in the meeting held by Eknath Shinde on Thursday, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari has directed the municipal health department to keep the health system ready. He appealed to the citizens to be alert rather than panic because of the new variant.
Patients of new variant of Corona are being found in the country. In this background Chief Minister held a meeting of all the administrative bodies of the state and gave instructions. Dr. Chaudhari reviewed the health department and learned about the condition of the hospitals. Considering the possible threat of the JN-1 variant, he directed to keep the system of isolation and oxygen beds ready in the hospitals.
The commissioner has also directed to plan for nasal booster dose for senior citizens of Nagpur city above 60 years of age. In order to avoid the danger caused by the new variant of Corona, citizens need to be alert without panicking. If you have any symptoms like cold, cough, fever, seek medical advice immediately and if necessary get tested for Corona.
Corona testing centers are running at Government Medical College and Hospital (Medical) and Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (Mayo) in Nagpur city. Apart from this, the testing center of Nagpur Municipal Corporation will also be started soon. Citizens are being urged to take safety precautions while going to crowded places considering the danger caused by Corona. It is being urged to once again adopt habits like wearing masks, washing hands regularly, using sanitizers.
