The Nagpur Crime Branch’s Unit 4 has successfully apprehended the individuals responsible for assaulting three people, including the son of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, near Kamble Square in the early hours of Monday. The incident stemmed from a dispute at VR Mall. The victims, identified as Arjun Omprakash Yadav, Vijay Hazare, and Anand Shah, had engaged in a heated argument with Kunal Uikey after leaving Agent Jack at VR Mall. The accused, along with his accomplices, followed Yadav and Hazare’s vehicle. In the meantime, the duo had picked up Shah.
Upon reaching Kamble Square, the accused intercepted the car, pulled out the trio, and assaulted them, resulting in head injuries and fractures. “Yadav and Hazare are being monitored at Neuron Hospital in Dhantoli, while Shah is in critical condition at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH),” informed PI Gaddime of Imamwada Police Station.”
An offense under Section 307 of the IPC has been registered against the accused, and a manhunt is underway,” he said. Following the incident, Unit 4 of the Crime Branch apprehended accused Kunal Naresh Uikey (24), Vivek Lekraj Banothe (27), Pradeep Purandas Uikey (32), Sumit Dilip Sahu (23), all residents of Kumbhar Toli, Dhantoli, Dilip alias Govind Sirsam (30), a resident of Noor Nagar, Koradi, and detained a juvenile delinquent.
