In order to build the ramp for the Kamptee Road double-decker flyover, the road between Patni Automobile and LIC Square has been widened.
As part of the Maharashtra Golden Jubilee Urban Revival Mega Mission, the road on this section of Nagpur Jabalpur National Highway No. 44 (former National Highway No. 7) will be widened from 30 meters to 33 meters.
This 400-meter stretch of road is anticipated to affect about twelve properties. The Municipal Corporation administration has offered TDR as a solution for this. Even so, there were those who insisted on getting paid. Consequently, the district administration requested in writing in September 2023 that the government purchase land in order to widen the road between LIC Square and Patni Automobile.
On December 8, 2023, the Urban Development Department made a decision and approved the ₹30.00 crore proposal administratively.
In accordance with the regulations, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is not legally obligated to obtain space in the National Highway’s urban area for the purposes of flying bridge, ROB, and RUB construction. Therefore, NMC will be required to pay thirty percent of the total, or Rs. 29.02 crore, with the state government receiving the remaining funds as part of the Maharashtra Golden Jubilee Urban Revival Mega Mission.
