The Accountancy Museum has been opened by members of the Institute of Chartered Accountancy in India (ICAI) Nagpur Branch at KDM Girls College (Smt. Kaushalyadevi Maheshwari Mahavidyalaya) in Nagpur.
The occasion was graced by the presence of CAs Jaydeep Shah, the past president of ICAI, CA Umesh Sharma, the chairperson of the ICAI Nagpur Branch (WIRC), CA Sanjay M. Agrawal, the vice president of the organization, CA Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, the vice president, and CA Trupti Bhattad, a member of the managing committee.
All of the nation’s historical data on chartered accounting is housed in the museum. There are exhibits in the museum that chronicle the development of accounting in India. The Vedic period coins and carvings that define India’s accounting culture are also on display at the museum.
In collaboration with KDM College, Nagpur, the Nagpur Branch of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICAI) and the Nagpur Branch of the Western India CA Students Association (WICASA) of ICAI arranged a career counseling program on ‘CA-Excellent Career, Endless Opportunities’ following the museum’s opening. The program was designed to help the college’s Commerce stream. The CA was a guest on the show. Dr. Anil Kumar Sarda, President of Adarsh Vidya Mandir Sanstha, and Govindlal Sarda, Chairman of KDM Girls College, alongside Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal. The event was organized by Himanshi Jaiswal, an assistant professor at KDM Girls College.
