The Indian National Congress has used a QR code pasted on the back of chairs arranged for its rally in Nagpur on Wednesday. The rally has been organised to mark the 139thFoundation Day of the party.
Every chair has a QR code, through which the party aims to raise funds for the party, given the coming general elections of 2024. A total of 620 chairs have been placed on the stage, which is divided in three parts.
The party launched the fund-raising mission on December on December 18, with the party president Mallikarjun Kharge contributing Rs 1,38,000 for the party.
The donors are expected to contribute Rs 138, Rs 1,380, Rs 13,800, or in multiple of these figures.
