In a momentous occasion, the Divisional Railway Manager of Nagpur Central Railway, Shri Tushar Kant Pandey, flagged off the Vanbala Mini Train, situated within the Bal Udyan (Children’s Park) at Seminary Hills, under the Nagpur Division of the Maharashtra State Forest Department.
The initiation of this closed Mini Train project was spearheaded by Assistant Conservator of Forests, Mr. Bhagatsing Hada, who engaged in discussions with the District Collector and Shri Pratham Agrawal Sr. Divisional Engineer (Central) Nagpur Division Central Railway to bring this unique recreational asset to the city’s central Bal Udyan. These discussions resulted in crucial funding being provided by the District Collector of Nagpur, facilitating the seamless implementation of the project through the Railway Department. Shri Pratham Agrawal’s extraordinary efforts in this project deserve special acknowledgment.
A seminar was organized to mark the successful completion and inauguration of the Vanbala Mini Train project. The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Mrs. Lakshmi, the Forest Conservator of Nagpur; Dr. Vipin Itankar, the District Collector of Nagpur; Shri. Bhagatsing Hada, the Assistant Conservator of Forests in Nagpur; and Mr. Pratham Agrawal, Sr. Divisional Engineer (Central) Nagpur division of Central Railway, among other esteemed guests.
The Vanbala Mini Train, nestled within the picturesque Seminary Hills, adds a charming and recreational dimension to Nagpur’s Bal Udyan. This project is a testament to collaborative efforts between the Forest Department, District Administration, and the Railway Department to enhance the city’s recreational offerings and promote eco-friendly entertainment.
