8 new Covid patients were added in Nagpur on Thursday. The number of patients in this month has reached 20. Currently 11 patients are active and 5 patients are under treatment in various private hospitals.
The health system has been alerted by the new variant of Corona ‘JN.1’. So far 10 samples have been sent for ‘Genome Sequencing’ by the Municipal Corporation and the report is awaited. Due to this, there is no new variant patient in Nagpur. However, there is an atmosphere of concern due to the increase in corona patients. Among the 8 patients found on Thursday are 78, 53, 51 and 40-year-old men and 66, 45, 30 and 20-year-old women. At present, a total of 11 patients are active with 3 each in Laxminagar, Dharampeth and Hanumannagar zones and 1 each in Nehrunagar and Dhantoli zones. 5 of these patients are admitted to a private hospital.
