The Department of Indian Philosophy, Kalidas Sanskrit University is organizing a two-day Indian Language Translation Workshop on January 6 and 7, 2024. The workshop was supported by a grant from the Indian Language Committee, New Delhi.
The workshop is organized with the inspiration of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Hareram Tripathi and the guidance of Hon’ble Registrar Prof. Krishnakumar Pandey
Former Vice Chancellor Prof. Madhusudan Penna appraised that in the purview of the National Education Policy, the work of translating and making available various textbooks and subject books in different regional languages is going on at a rapid pace. This work has created a need for many different linguistic translators. The purpose of the translation workshop is to provide linguists who have mastered two or more languages at the same time and to make the work of translators more quick, accurate and fast. Translation plays an important role in making the wealth of knowledge available to all speakers in the Indian knowledge tradition.
Shri, Sudhishtha Mishra, Mathura, Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Sambhaji Nagar, Dr Tilak Rao, Bengaluru will be present as chief guests.
The workshop is open to faculties, authors, translators, researchers, and students and is conducted online and offline. Workshop Coordinator Prof. Kalapini Agasti urged language lovers to participate in the workshop and experience the creative joy of translation work.
