The teams representing Maharashtra in the 17th men’s and 13th women’s Cycle Polo Federation Cup have been officially unveiled. Organized under the auspices of the Cycle Polo Federation of India, the competition is being hosted in Bhilai by the Chhattisgarh Cycle Polo Federation. Gajanan Burde, the general secretary of the Maharashtra Cycle Polo Association, made the announcement of the teams in the presence of Dinesh Sarve, Sanjay Tijare, Milind Patil, Kamlakar Godbole, Uttam Itankar, Pralay Pillewar, and their parents.
The men’s team comprises skilled players with Bhushan Shende leading as the captain and Piyush Urkude as the vice-captain. The team also includes Dev Banait, Yash Padal, Bhavya Borekar, Avinash Bansode, Swayam Chaudhary, and Vaibhav Sonawne. Assisting the team are Raj Banait as the manager and Milind Patle as the coach.
On the women’s side, the team is captained by Swara Thakre, with Navya Padal as the vice-captain. The women’s team features talented players such as Sayuri Itankar, Ragini Borkar, Vrinda Sakharkar, Tanushri Barde, Vidisha Pillewar, and Palak Kurve. Managing the women’s team is Kavita Kurve, and they receive coaching guidance from Pralay Pillewar. Together, both teams are geared up for success in their respective competitions.
