Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is working to create vertical gardens at various locations in order to lessen pollution in the city and preserve the environment’s balance. There are eighteen vertical gardens being developed right now.
This will enhance the city’s beauty. NMC plans a number of actions in accordance with Central government directives for environmental balance and pollution control. Road dividers are being planted with trees in order to preserve them. In addition to developing green belts by planting dense vegetation on both sides of some major ronds, efforts are being made to beautify major made intersections. It now has vertical gardens added to it.
A fund of Rs 35 crore has been set aside by the Central government’s 15th Finance Commission under the National Clean Air Programme to improve the city’s air quality. In addition, the Central Pollution Control Board’s schemes are also being utilized to their advantage.
