Vedaant Saluja, seen in several television shows, OTT, commercials, and music albums, is set to appear in &TV‘s gharelu comedy Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. The actor will play the role of Keshav, a modern version of Lord Krishna, to make Daroga Happu Singh (Yogesh Tripathi) realise God’s positive presence. Sharing details on his entry Keshav, Vedaant Saluja says, “The Keshav’s character embodies the kindness reminiscent of Lord Krishna, exuding a charming personality with a perpetual positive outlook. Conversely, Happu (Yogesh Tripathi) changes his attitude after his promotion, turning arrogant and dismissive of life’s gifts. He begins considering himself superior even to divine beings, rejecting the idea of God and displaying narcissism, distressing his family. Observing Happu’s upheaval, the family fervently prays for his redemption, seeking a guiding light. Enter Keshav, a young man seeking work whose innocence and helpfulness catch Rajesh’s attention. Hired for household chores, Keshav quickly endears himself to all, lending a hand whenever needed. As Happu’s arrogance swells, leading to disrespect toward Khodi (Sharad Vyas) and Katori Amma (Himani Shivpuri), Keshav decides to intervene. He aims to guide Happu away from self-destructive behaviour, aspiring to trigger a positive change in his demeanour and actions.”
On joining the cast of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, the actor elaborates, “I am happy to bag an opportunity to join the cast of one of the popular shows of &TV, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. The show is one of my favourites alongside Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. I thoroughly enjoyed and admired Daroga Happu Singh’s character and the fun family dynamics in the show. So, I was delighted when I was offered a role in the show. Now, I get to meet, interact, and work with these talented artists and become a part of the show. So, it is a win-win situation for me! My family and friends are equally excited for me and eagerly looking forward to my character’s entry. Initially, I was apprehensive about doing comedy, given it was my first, but the production and creative team helped me to prepare for the role. One thing I realised is that Comedy is not easy. It is all about timing. And I am glad everything worked out perfectly. The storyline is amusing and entertaining, which will be a complete laughter riot.”
