The Shikshan Sanstha Mahamandal, which represents educational institutions in the state, has threatened to boycott the STD X and XII examinations conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
The organization made the decision during a meeting in Pune to address several demands. A memorandum outlining these demands has been presented to Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Key demands of the organization include the recruitment of both teaching and non-teaching staff across all schools in the State, as well as a decision on the allocation of non-salary grants to the schools.
According to the media report, Vijay Nawal Patil, President of Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan Sanstha Mahamandal, and Ravindra Fadnavis, Secretary, communicated in a letter to the Chief Minister, stating, “In the event that the State Government fails to make decisions on these matters, we will opt to boycott the 10th and 12th-grade examinations conducted by the State Board.”
