An event, ‘Advantage Vidarbha,’ patronized by Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, is in the final stages of securing the participation of distinguished industrialists. Among the prominent figures invited are Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries; Sajjan Jindal, the head of JSW; and Anand Mahindra, the Chief of Mahindra & Mahindra. Invitations have been dispatched to around a dozen leading business personalities of similar eminence, with their confirmation status still pending. Additionally, an invitation has been extended to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, raising expectations of potential announcements in the defence production sector during the event. His confirmation too is awaited. The event is slated to take place from January 27 to 29.
The event is being organized by the Association for Industrial Development, which has an 11-member committee to manage the affairs. The idea has been mooted by Gadkari.
