Former Maharashtra Minister and ex-MLA Sunil Kedar was granted bail by the High Court on Tuesday. The bail was granted on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. The court has also stayed the execution of the punishment awarded to him.
Kedar was awarded five years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 12.50 lakh by the Nagpur District Sessions Court in connection with Rs 150 crore scam of Nagpur District Central Cooperative Bank. Justice Urmila Joshi-Falke accepted Kedar’s bail application and granted him bail. Kedar will have to mark attendance at the Sessions Court on the 1st of every month.
