The Kapil Nagar police have arrested a gang that stole e-rickshaw batteries worth more than one and a half lakhs from a godown.
Ravindra Singh Gamdur Singh Bhamra (48) owns a godown called Platinum Polypack at Uppalwadi. E-rickshaws are kept there. On December 12, an unknown thief entered the godown and looted 76 12 volt batteries from the e-rickshaw and the cupboard. Their price was 1.52 lakhs.
After Bhamra’s complaint, Kapil nagar police team started investigation through CCTV. On the basis of information received through CCTV and reports, the police arrested Sameer Ali Javed Ali (20) When his house was searched, 4 batteries were found there.
