Floats tender of Rs 810 crore
Nagpur Municipal Corporation has floated tenders for changing the face of the historical Pohra River in Nagpur. The Rs 810 crore project is being implemented with the financial support of the Centre and State Government. The project is expected to be completed within two years.
Under the guidance of the Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr Abhijit Chaudhari cleanliness drive for rivers in Nagpur is being implemented. Under the Central Government supported Amrit-2.0 scheme, NMC is implementing a sewage water treatment project for the South Sewerage Zone and Narsala, and Pollution Removal of Pohra River.
The project has been divided into five packages – 1)- 45 Million Liter sewage water treatment plant, pumping station, Wet well, and Pumping Main – Rs 109.29 crore. 2) Sewarage sub-zone 1 – Rs 175.40 crore. 3) Sewerage Zone 2 and 3 – Rs 254.53 crore. 4) Sewarage Zone 4 – Rs 115.50 crore and 5) Rs 155.46 crore for Hudkeshwar and Narsala.
