The Supreme Court has extended bail for former minister Nawab Malik by six months. The Nationalist Congress Party leader was on bail on health grounds. He had applied for bail again, which was accepted.
Malik was in jail in money laundering case and connection with the underworld. He was in jail from February 2022. He was granted bail for two months as his health condition deteriorated. He is facing problems related to kidney and related ailments. As the term of his bail was expiring he applied for extension of the period by six months. Documents related to his health condition were also submitted to the court. Justice Bela M Trivedi and Justice Dipankar Satta granted him the relief.
