Investigation suggests the remains belong to a brick-kiln owner, murdered by his brother
A disturbing scene revealed in Suradevi, Koradi, as a human skeleton was found on Thursday morning, causing a sensation in the area. Preliminary findings from the police suggest that the skeleton belonged to Vilas Jaichand Hingankar, a brick kiln owner allegedly killed and buried by his brother, Chandan Hingankar, and servant, Mannu Dudhbarbe, in an attempt to eliminate evidence. Both Chandan and Mannu have been taken into custody for questioning.
The motive behind the alleged murder stems from property disputes between Vilas and Chandan. Vilas, known for engaging in heated arguments with his brother and servant, reportedly had altercations with them after consuming alcohol. Approximately six to seven months ago, Chandan and Mannu purportedly devised a plan to kill Vilas. Allegedly using a sickle, they executed the plan and then utilized an earth-moving machine to dig a pit in the brick kiln area, where Vilas’s body was buried.
The investigation was initiated by the Koradi Police, led by Senior Inspector Vijay Naik, following the report of Vilas’s disappearance. Residents of Suradevi informed the police about Chandan and Mannu’s suspected involvement in Vilas’s death, leading to their apprehension. Subsequently, the police exhumed the body and sent it for autopsy. Forensic experts are actively conducting further investigations into the case.
