Nagpur has been ranked 86th Position in Swachh Survekshan 2023 among 400 cities. The city stood at the 17th position in the state. In 2022 Swachh Survekshan the city stood 27th.
Nagpur Scored 98% in door-to-door collection of waste, 100% in source segregation and 89% in waste generation and its processing. NMC has managed to obtain water plus certificate. The civic body already had ODF++ certificate after the city became open defecation free two years ago.
