“Government of Maharashtra is planning to bring new policy for CBSE military schools, in which such schools will also get benefits of state government like state board schools,” said Deepak Kesarkar, Education Minister, Government of Maharashtra during the programme.
The CBSE run military schools in Maharashtra are not getting the benefits of the state government, whereas the state board schools are getting the benefits. Keeping the demand of CBSE schools in mind, the Education Minister said, “The government is planning to make a policy and within 2-3 days the proposal will be raised before the Finance Minister.”
Along with this, the Government is also planning to start a 6-month diploma course for ex-servicemen who are struggling to get jobs as sports teachers in schools and col- leges. There is a quota in all departments for ex-servicemen in the State but the quota is lapsing as the veterans have no B.Ed or D.Ed qualification. Therefore, the Government is planning to start the diploma courses for them, said the minister.
He also announced the first private military girls school in Vidarbha which was proposed by BMS before the Government.
