A group of 11 IAS Officer Trainee 2023 batch visited NTPC Mouda plant on 13.01.2024 as they embarked on a knowledge-enhancing journey under the Bharat Darshan Program conducted by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (GOI), Mussorie (LBSNAA).
Accompanied by senior officials from NTPC, the IAS trainee batch was introduced to the state-of-the-art facilities at the NTPC Mouda, which included Control rooms and CHP area. The batch also engaged in interactive session with Sh. K.M.K. Prusty, Head of Project (Mouda), fostering an exchange of ideas and knowledge that is expected to contribute to their comprehensive understanding of the power sector’s challenges and opportunities.
The visit not only exposed these future civil servants to the technical aspects of power generation but also emphasized on NTPC’s contribution towards sustainable practices and environmental conservation.
Overall, the IAS trainee batch left NTPC Mouda with enriched perspectives, armed with a deeper understanding of the dynamics of power generation and the critical role it plays in the socio-economic landscape. The experience is anticipated to empower these future administrators in making informed decisions that align with the nation’s energy goals and environmental sustainability vis-à-vis NTPC perspective.
