Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will start registration for PCB and PCM courses from Tuesday.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for MHT CET 2024 from January 16. The candidates can submit their application by March 1 at the official website- cetcell.mahacet.org.
The PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group exam will be conducted from April 16 to April 23, while the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) group will be conducted from April 25 to April 30, according to the examination schedule. The exam will be conducted at various examination centres within and outside Maharashtra State.
The PCM course is for those who want to apply for the engineering courses and the PCB is for those candidates who want to appear for the pharmacy courses.
The syllabus for PCB and PCM courses will comprise class 12 topics and some of the topics from class 11 textbooks. The 20 per cent weightage is given to the questions from the class 11 syllabus and 80 per cent of questions will be from the class 12 syllabus.
The questions will be based on the new syllabus of the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Maharashtra. The exam will be conducted online as a Computer Based Test. The paper will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with four options. There is no negative marking but the level of difficulty in the exam is equivalent to JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced).

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria are released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. To apply for this exam an applicant must have passed class 12 with a minimum percentage of marks as required by the commission to be eligible.
In addition to this, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/IT/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Technical Vocational subject to take admission to B.E/B.Tech course.
Meanwhile, for admission to pharmacy courses, the candidate must have Physics & Chemistry along with Biology or Mathematics.
