Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) bagged an award of excellence for being a leader in creating ‘Healthy Streets in Indian cities’. Nagpur Smart City received the award during a two-day workshop jointly organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Department, in collaboration with Smart City Mission and Pimpri -Chichwad Smart City.
Dr Pranita Umredkar, (GM,I/c), Environment division and Nodal Officer of Streets 4 People Challenge Nagpur Smart City, accepted the awards at the hands of Kunal Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, in the third national workshop on ‘Streets and Public Spaces’ held at G D Madgulkar Auditorium in Pimpri-Chinchwad .
In phase II of the India Cycle IV Change and Streets IV People challenges, initiative of the Smart Cities Mission and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, top 15 pioneered cities of India were selected out of the 29 cities.
