Only a few days are left for the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates. Keeping in view the upcoming elections, the Central Election Commission has been busy in preparations for the last one year. Around 2,10,595 new names have been added to the voter list finalized in Nagpur district. The number of new voters aged between 17 to 19 years is 88,449.
The Special Campaign were started by the Commission to increase the number of voters in the voting list. Under which the work of directly adding the names of youth who have turned 17 years old to the voter list. Earlier in the year, Names could be added to the voting list only once, but the Commission has amended it and the name can be added four times in a year. Under this, those who are going to turn 18 on or before 1st January, 1st April, 1st July and 1st October can also get their names included in the voting list.
