MLA Khopde’s dream come true
Itwari Railway Station, Nagpour has been officially named after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The demand for MLA from Nagpur East Krishna Khopde has been accepted. Although the Home Ministry had issued a notification on June 16, 2023, the declaration came on the birth anniversary of Netaji on Tuesday.
The Railway Ministry announced the renaming of two Railway Stations after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The other Railway Station named after him is Gamoh, in Jharkhand.
The Gamoh Railway Station served as a major junction for the Howrah-Gaya-Delhi, Mumbai-Allahabad, Gomoh-Muri Branch ine, and Adra-Gomod Railway lines. The station was built in 1906 and is officially called Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Junction Gomoh. The Kalka Mail was also renamed as Metaki Express. In 1941. It is situated in the Dhanbad division of Jharkhand state.
The Nagpur Division of SEC Railway which is the starting and finishing point for about 14 trains, will now be known as Netaji Itwari Railway Station.
