Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass, participated in ‘Centunes,’ a flagship event organized by Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar, on January 19, 2024. The school showcased its musical excellence with a group of 22 talented singers participating in the Indian Music segment.
In the Centunes Hindi choir category, the school clinched the 1st prize, outshining competition from 14 other schools. The CPS, AB choir, comprised 20 talented students who delivered a mesmerizing performance. Represented by students like Aashna Sachdeva, Tara Oke, Rudra Thawali, and others, the choir presented a patriotic song titled “Lal Rakta Se Dhara Nahi,” composed by Mrs. Varsha Jain in rag Jog. Their rendition, adorned with vakra taan, tabla ki tihai k bol, and a beautiful ending with Taran arrangement, earned accolades from the judges. Mrs. Varsha Jain, the mentor, received a trophy for the best performance of the competition.
Adding to the triumph, the duet performance by Atishay Sumit Jain and Swaranjali Thawali, singing “Bharat Mata Teri Jay Ho,” also written and composed by Mrs. Varsha Jain, was highly appreciated by the judges, who meticulously observed every aspect of the song.
