An accused who lured a minor Instagram friend into a love trap and got her pregnant has been arrested. The incident took place within the limits of Pachapaoali police station. The accused has been identified as Anurag Sanjay Khote (20).
The accused met a 17-year-old girl on Instagram in 2023. He asked her for friendship through chat and then took her phone number. He lured her into his love net for some time. On April 27, 2023, he invited her to his house and raped her by luring her into marriage. After that, he repeatedly called her home and abused her. Meanwhile, the girl became pregnant. This came to light after her mother asked the girl. victim’s mother lodged a complaint against the accused at Pachpaoali police station.
The police have registered a case against him under POCSO and arrested him.
