Nagpur and Ajni Railway station become world class by 2025-26. General Manager of Central Railway Ramkaran Yadav informed the reporters today that the necessary planning has been done in this regard. After assuming the responsibility of General Manager of Central Railway, he inspected the safety of railway works in Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur areas. Inspected railway tracks, station buildings, bridges, railway gates, railway colony, as well as ongoing works under Amrit Bharat Station.
He also said that Under the Nirbhaya scheme, CCTV cameras will be installed in the trains. Regarding the new train, he said, the number of passengers on the Nagpur-Pune and Mumbai route is large. Therefore, there is a huge demand for trains on this route. There is a demand to start Vande Bharat from Nagpur to Ayodhya, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad. A proposal will be sent to the Railway Board after checking various aspects in this regard. apart from this, slipper coaches, third and fourth lines and various issues were also discussed in the press conference.
Yadav also said that The Wardha-Yavatmal-Nanded railway line has been completed up to Kalamb and all preparations have been made to run trains on this line after its inauguration. The date of inauguration was fixed twice. But it was cancelled. However, the line will be inaugurated this February itself and the Wardha to Kalamb train will start.
