The road from Airport Metro Station to Ring Road Junction and from Ring Road to Butibori Flyover will be six-lane and the road from Wadi to Kondhali on Amravati Road will also be six-lane. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari informed in Nagpur today that there will be a double decker structure like a flyover and a metro on top of it, thus reducing the distance to Butibori.
Under ‘Nagpur City Package-1’ for Nagpur City, Butobori to Fetri Four-Layer Ring Road-Bypass was inaugurated today by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Ramtek MP Kripal Tumane, Hingane MLA Sameer Meghe were mainly present on this occasion.
This new outer ring road will be ready for planned development as a link connecting the two industrial area of Hingna and Butibori. Logistics parks will be located on the side of this road. After this outer ring road reaches Amravati road, the ring road from the lower underpass to Fetri is completed and the same ring road continues to Kamptee. Gadkari said that the work to connect the Ring Road will be completed in the next two months.
The country’s first ‘Bird Park’ will be developed on 8 hectares near Jamtha and various fruit varieties will be planted in it so that the birds can live in their natural habitat, as well as a cycle track and a coffee shop. Gadkari informed that will also stay. He also suggested to remove the encroachment here and widen the roads for the planned development of Hingna city.
Deputy Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis speaking on the occasion said that there were difficulties in the construction of the outer ring road but the work of this ring road has been done very fast in the last two years. Fadnavis also explained that after coming from the Samriddhi Highway, heavy traffic and traffic will not have to face any problem through this outer ring road. On this ring road, the facility can be reached to any part of the city and district through ‘Rim Transport’.
The project has been completed in collaboration with the National Highway Authority of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways of the Central Government. The length of this outer ring road is 33.50 km and the road has been completed with a provision of 856 crore. Similarly, the traffic jam will also be freed. This outer ring road will consists of 3 flyovers, two major bridges as well as 22 bus-way shelter centers of two and a half kilometers. In terms of safety, crash barriers made of bamboo have been installed on this bridge.In the film shown by the National Highway Authority, the information was given that there is a 100 km per hour vehicle limit on this road.
