In an effort to prioritize the well-being of jeep drivers and guides facilitating wildlife tours at the Tadoba Wildlife Sanctuary, the Deccan Drifts organization recently conducted a health initiative. This initiative aligns with the continuous endeavors aimed at conserving tigers and the environment in the area.
Every year, Tadoba attracts lakhs of tourists from both domestic and international destinations for jungle safaris. The responsibility of ensuring the safety and health of these tourists falls upon the authorities at Tadoba.
As part of the initiative, prominent wildlife researchers and conservationists, Mr. Piyush Akare and Ms. Kanchan Petkar, spearheaded a health check-up and distribution of eye drops to guides and jeep drivers at the Tadoba gate. The event was conducted in the presence of forest officials, including Forest Guard Mr. Milind Kite and Manager Mr. Narayan Ghodmare. The objective of the initiative was to address the health concerns of guides and jeep drivers who navigate the rugged terrain of Tadoba daily, ensuring their well-being while on duty.
