Based on the needs of the region, capabilities and deficiencies should be considered while carrying out research. Start-ups and Software Technologies should be built for the welfare of all and should be based on regional needs. This was stated by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Gadkari was speaking during the inauguration of the Incubation Facility Centre at the Software Technology Park of India (STPI) at Nagpur. Director General of STPI Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI, Pune Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Joint Secretary of Electeronics and Information Technology Ministry Sanket Bhondwe, Managing Director of Mahatma Phule Backward Class Economic development Corporation Dr Amol Shinde were the guests of honour.
Coordination, Communication and Collaboration with engineering and other educational institutions should help in providing the right direction for research and development, Gadkari said. STPI will help in reducing imports and promoting exports. This will help in realising the dream of Selef-Reliant India. Nagpur should become a centre for promoting Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship, Gadkari said. Out of the five big IT companies, four have established their units in MIHAN. More are likely to open units here shortly. So far 68,000 youths received jobs in Nagpur. In the next one year we can expect jobs for about one lakh youths, he said.
