In a significant move to enhance passenger convenience and streamline access at Ajni Railway Station, a new exit gate is opened near the escalator at Platform 1 Nagpur end. This initiative aims to facilitate smoother transit for passengers, especially those arriving from Platforms 2 and 3, providing them with seamless access to the adjacent Metro station as well as road.
The decision to open this exit gate follows a collaborative effort between railway and metro officials, underscoring their commitment to enhancing the travel experience for commuters. Passengers arriving at Platforms 2 and 3, which are on the north side of the station, will find it particularly convenient. The newly opened exit gate will be operational upon the arrival of trains at the railway station. Two dedicated Ticket Checking staff have been deployed at the gate to assist and guide passengers efficiently.
Additionally, parking facilities near the porch of Platform no 1 have been adjusted to accommodate the increased passenger flow, with measures such as shifting parking areas to make room for passenger access and employing marshals for managing auto stands effectively.
Shri Aman Mittal Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Nagpur Division Said that “we are doing this to facilitate passengers and reduce inconvenience in the face of much needed redevelopment work of Ajni station which would accrue great benefits for the citizens of Nagpur in future”.
This new exit gate is set to enhance the overall passenger experience, offering greater convenience and efficiency in transit between railway and metro services.
