Nagpur Ladies Circle 50 marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of their inaugural school Z.P. Primary School in Sawangi (Devali) on February 11, 2024, under Project ‘Prarambh’. This philanthropic endeavor aimed to transform the educational landscape for underprivileged children in the village.
The newly constructed school comprises three classrooms, two toilets, and a kitchen, promising a conducive learning environment for 125 students ranging from grades 1 to 5. Beyond infrastructure, the initiative harbors ambitions to impact the education of up to 400 children in the village.
In collaboration with the Bridge the Gap Foundation, led by Mrs. Neeta Gupta, the project ensures comprehensive educational support for at least a decade. Leveraging urban teaching methodologies, the foundation brings a diverse panel of educators and volunteers to bridge the educational divide in rural areas.
The transformational impact of Project Prarambh is profound, considering the dilapidated state of the previous school, which dated back to the 1960s. With overcrowded classrooms and inadequate facilities, the learning environment was far from conducive. However, through concerted efforts, the old structure was demolished, making way for a modern, purpose-built facility.
The endeavor doesn’t stop with the inauguration; Nagpur Ladies Circle 50 has ambitious plans for phase two of the project. Besides infrastructure, the organization furnished the school with essential amenities, including 120 desk benches, teacher’s desks, computers, and a library, facilitating holistic learning experiences.
Notably, Nagpur Ladies Circle 50 is an all-women nonprofit organization committed to education empowerment. Their multifaceted approach encompasses various initiatives, including skill-building programs, sponsoring school fees, promoting mental health awareness, supporting LGBTQI communities, among others.
As the Nagpur chapter of Ladies Circle India, NLC50’s dedication underscores the transformative power of education in uplifting communities and fostering inclusive growth. Through Project Prarambh, they epitomize the spirit of giving and the relentless pursuit of a brighter future for all children, regardless of their background.
