The theory examinations for Standard XII (HSC) conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will begin on Wednesday, while the theory examinations for Std X (SSC) will be held from March 1 to 26.
To prevent mass copying the Board has avoided allotting the same centre for students of one school. The students from different schools will be writing examinations at one centre. This step has been taken to avoid mass copying.
Mass copying in rural and urban areas was reported as students of the same school were writing examinations together. Many private non-granted schools were involved in these malpractices. Now different examination centres for the students of the same school cannot be influenced by the management of schools for mass copying.
The Board has been taking steps to prevent copying. This is a new step in this direction. Mass copying is expected to be under control with this method adopted by the Board.
