Rituraj Singh, a prominent personality in the television industry, passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Monday night. He was 59 years old and had been battling pancreatic illness. Rituraj Singh was widely beloved for his portrayal of roles like Yashpal in the television series “Anupamaa.”
In a post on X, actor Arshad Warsi said, “I am so saddened to know that Ritu Raj passed away. We lived in the same building, he was a part of my first film as a producer. Lost a friend and a great actor.”
“According to a close friend of the actor, Amit Behl, he succumbed to a cardiac arrest. He had been admitted to the hospital earlier for pancreas treatment, returned home, experienced cardiac complications, and passed away,” as reported by media.
As per his friend, Rituraj Singh had been grappling with pancreatic illness. Pancreatic diseases encompass various conditions affecting the pancreas, a vital organ located behind the stomach. Notably, pancreatic cancer stands out as one of the most deadly cancers globally, often diagnosed in advanced stages due to nonspecific symptoms.
Singh has also featured in web series such as “Bandish Bandits” and “Made in Heaven,” along with notable appearances in films like “Badrinath ki Dulhania,” “Satyameva Jayate 2,” and “Yaariyan 2.”
