Temperatures to rise after two cool days on February 25th and 26th
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), parts of Vidarbha, including Nagpur, are expected to receive light showers on February 25 and 26. These showers are anticipated to lead to a slight decrease in the maximum temperature by 1-2 degrees Celsius.
Weather patterns is likely to change due to the formation of moisture. According to a meteorologist, while some areas in the region may witness light showers, the rest of Vidarbha is forecasted to experience partly cloudy conditions over the next two days. However, there is projected to be a rise in the maximum temperature after February 26.
In recent days, the Vidarbha region has been experiencing a gradual increase in maximum temperatures. On Tuesday, Yavatmal recorded the highest maximum temperature, reaching 37.0 degrees Celsius. Similarly, Akola recorded a high of 36.1 degrees Celsius, while Wardha saw temperatures rise above the 36-degree mark, reaching 36.0 degrees Celsius. Buldhana reported the lowest maximum temperature at 33.4 degrees Celsius. Additionally, other areas such as Amravati (34.0 degrees Celsius), Chandrapur (35.2 degrees Celsius), Gadchiroli (33.6 degrees Celsius), Gondia (33.5 degrees Celsius), Nagpur (35.2 degrees Celsius), and Washim (35.4 degrees Celsius) also experienced temperatures above the normal range.
On Tuesday, Wardha reported the highest minimum temperature, reaching 19.5 degrees Celsius. Conversely, other areas across Vidarbha recorded minimum temperatures below 18.0 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature will increase in coming days, said the IMD.
