The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Nagpur issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for Vidarbha from February 25 to 27.
The Weather Department had previously predicted cloudy weather and light showers. The RMC also warned of hailstorms, gusty winds, and lightning on February 26 and 27.
Farmers are advised to take measures to protect their crops for the next few days. Due to recent cloudy weather, maximum temperatures in Vidarbha have dropped by 1-2 degrees Celsius.
This trend is expected to continue for the next 2-3 days. On Saturday, Akola, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal recorded maximum temperatures above 34 degrees Celsius, while other areas like Amravati, Buldhana, Chandrapur, and Gondia.
Nagpur and Gadchiroli recorded the day temperature below 34 degrees Celsius. No major change was observed in minimum temperature all overVidarbha, on Saturday. However, due to northerly winds, the region is in the grip of chill during night.
