The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), together with the District Planning Committee Nagpur, held a bhoomipujan programme to commence the construction of a Smart Public Toilet at Walker Street, Civil Lines, Nagpur. Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari, Municipal Commissioner, performed the bhoomipujan.
This free of charge Smart Public Toilet will feature separate facilities for men and women, including a women’s changing room, a sanitary pad vending machine, a waste disposal unit, hand dryers, and doors equipped with a sensor system. Additionally, the toilet will be equipped with wheelchair accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The NMC intends to build 44 additional Smart Public Toilets across the city.
