In a disturbing incident, Hudkeshwar Police apprehended a 42-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a young woman under false pretenses of offering her employment. Identified as Roshan Tulsiram Meshram, a resident of village Sakha, taluka Kuhi, the suspect allegedly approached the 28-year-old victim at Sarvashree Nagar Bus Stop around 2 pm on March 3.
Purportedly posing as a supervisor for a reputed organization, Meshram provided his contact information to the woman, promising her a job opportunity within his company. However, upon verifying the provided number through the Truecaller App, the victim discovered his true identity.
In desperate need of employment, the victim contacted Meshram, agreeing to meet him the following day. Meshram appeared as promised, escorting the victim on his two-wheeler to an isolated area along Hudkeshwar Outer Ring Road, where he allegedly perpetrated the assault.
Prompted by the victim’s complaint, authorities have taken swift action, registering a case against Meshram under Sections 376 (2)(n), 377, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by individuals seeking job opportunities and underscores the necessity for enhanced vigilance and safety measures in such situations.
