A team of Saoner Police raided rescued three women from Virat Farm House in Takli Bhansali, Saoner Tehsil. The operation, executed by officers from the Saoner Police Station, occurred late Sunday night following a tip-off about illicit activities at the farm house. Authorities discovered evidence of a sex racket in operation, exploiting young women for prostitution.
The individuals, hailing from Nagpur, who were apprehended include Abhishek Papu Kanojiya (26), Santosh Vasant Fule (21), Aditya Anil Ingle (22), Ayush Dinesh Shelke (22), and Shubham Keval Singh Mucharwad (23), all residents of Nagpur. They are allegedly involved in facilitating the illegal activities. Additionally, the owners of the farmhouse, Vinay Bhagwan Prasad Tiwari and his brother Vivek Bhagwan Prasad Tiwari, were taken into custody. Valuable assets, including mobile phones and motorcycles believed to be linked to the operation, were seized.
The raid shed light on the exploitation of women involved in prostitution in exchange for money. Although the police released three young women after questioning, they detained the accused individuals due to suspicious circumstances. Subsequently, items worth 4,54,030 rupees were confiscated, and charges were filed against the farm house owner and his brother under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Immoral Trafficking Act. The authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter, charging the arrested individuals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Immoral Trafficking Act.
