The Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) is a flagship national program of the Government of India aimed at ensuring sanitation and cleanliness in both urban and rural areas.
Recently, the Government of India initiated the Green Leaf rating system for hotels and resorts to encourage compliance and improve environmental standards. This rating system awards points for meeting specific parameters related to Solid Waste Management, Faecal Sludge Management, and Greywater Management, while deductions are made for non-compliance.

Green Leaf 5 status, which is the highest rating for any resort in India. Olive Resort MD and Paryatak Mitra Chandrapal Chouksey said, “Environment and business need to go handin hand and one cannot comeat the expense of other.”
