“The Sunyatee Center for Women Development” run by Trailokya Buddhist Mahasabha Sahak Gana and Sunyati International Foundation provided free health checkup and five days of free Ayurvedic medicine to 250 women on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Dhammacharini Sugatdharini, head of the center and Karan Jagdambe, representative of the foundation, announced on the occasion of the inauguration that health related programs for women will be implemented at this center.
This year the theme of International Women’s Day 2024 is “Invest in Women: Accelerating Progress”. The selected themes emphasize the critical role of investing in women’s education, economic empowerment, healthcare and leadership development to accelerate progress towards gender equality.
Ayurveda expert of DXN Clinic in Pune DrSmita Sonawane, Dr. Sneha Sawant and Dr. Sadhana Gedam of Nagpur provided free medical services for women. Intern Ayurveda Physicians, Shringali Meshram, Tejas Mahure, Dhanashree Kawade, Avanti Kotangale, Siddika Fatema served as assistants.
The co-organizer “Sanjeevani Sakhi Sangh” worked hard to promote the camp to a large number of women.
