Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the first phase of the world’s largest and unique disabled park – Anubhuti Inclusive Park. He also laid the foundation stone of 2 RUB of Shanti Nagar.
This ‘Anubhuti Inclusive Park’ is being developed for disabled children and general citizens in the Pardi area. It is the world’s first inclusive disabled park. A provision of about Rs 12 crore has been made by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of India for this park, which is being built in an area of 90 thousand square feet. Various projects have been envisaged for the disabled as well as the common people and senior citizens in this park.
The facilities in this park are being adapted for all 21 types of disabilities. It includes a touch and smell garden, hydrotherapy unit, water therapy, independent room for mentally challenged children, Nakshatra Vatika, music therapy with xylophone and birdsong, braille, chess, ludo, chitchat room, and rubber floor for disabled people. There will also be facilities like sports equipment and an open gym.
This park is being developed with the concept of building an inclusive society, as envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It will reflect empathy instead of sympathy. Through this park, the message of inclusion and the concept of an inclusive society will reach not only across the country but also across the world.
