The 21st annual National Law Festival will be held at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagpur University College of Law from March 15 to 17. The festival ‘Justa Causa’ is a different experience for law students.
The festival will be inaugurated by Justice Nitin W Sambare of the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court on March 15. Officiating VC of RTM Nagpur University Dr Prashant Bokare, Principal of the College Dr Ravishankar Mor, and Convenor of the event Dr Pravina Khobragade will remain present.
The inaugural programme will be followed by the National Youth Conclave – The Nagpur Dialogue’. Adv Sunil Manohar, Neurologist Padma Shri Dr Chandrashekhar Meshram, VNIT Directo0r Dr Pramod Padole will be the panellists. This will be followed by ‘Davil’s Attorney’ debate on Open sea and Regional Water Resources Agencies. Dr Snehal Fadnavis and Dr Rasika Dasture will be the judges. Former Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari will be the chief guest. RTMNU Finance and Accounts Officer Harish Paliwal will be the guest of honour.
A discussion on Indian Personal Law will be held on March 16. Dr Sukhvinder Singh Dari, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur will deliver the keynote address. Former Principal Judge of Family Court Meera Khadakkar, Prof Prafulla Sable, Director Examinations and Evaluation of RTMNU will be the guests. The preliminary round of the National Moot Court will be held.
Youth Parliament on ‘One nation, one election’ will be held on March 17. Ex-MP Dr Vikas Mahatme will be the chief guest. RTMNU Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase will be the guest of honour. Dr Vijay Pratap Tiwari and Dr Rangaswami Stalin of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur will be the speakers.
The final round of the Moot Court and concluding function will be held with Justice G A Sanap of Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court as the chief guest. Justice B P Deshpande pof Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court; KKSU VC Dr Hareram Tripathi, RTMNU VC Dr Prashant Bokare, Pro-VC Dr Sanjay Dudhe, Principal Dr Ravishankar Mor will be the guests of honour.
