Looking at the urbanisation in Nagpur region developmental works is being undertaken at the right time. Development on Chandrapur, Wardha road can be seen because of the Samruddhi Mahamarg. The flyover from Chinchbhavan to Jamtha is an initiative supporting this development. This was stated by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Fadnavis performed Bhoomipujan of the flyover on Thursday. The flyover of 2.69 Km on Nagpur-Hyderabad National Highway No. 44 will be constructed along with six-laning of the 5.75 Km road. The total cost of the project is Rs 620 crore.
Traffic on Wardha and Chandrapur roads has increased. Housing and other urban facilities are also increasing uptto Butibori. Fadnavis said that the works are expected to be completed within the scheduled time.
Gadkari said that the construction of flyovers, widening of roads is necessary for smooth flow of traffic. He also said that tenders for the ropeway at Ramtek have been floated. The work on Nagpur-Hyderabad Expressway is in progress. This will be an important road going towards south. The work on expansion of Nagpur Metro Rail upto Butibori is progress. Metro Rail will be available from Butibori to Kanhan and Hingna to Bhandara Road. He also said that expansion of MIHAN beyond the ring road is also under consideration.
