Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, launched the ‘Urja’ chatbot developed by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This revolutionary AI-powered solution represents a paradigm shift in how energy users interact with their electricity provider. The launch of the ‘Urja’ chatbot is part of MSEDCL’s larger drive to update its service delivery mechanism and adopt digital technologies to satisfy the increasing needs of its clients.
The ‘Urja’ chatbot represents MSEDCL’s proactive attitude to adopting digital innovation and improving customer experience. Using AI, the energy firm hopes to give prompt, personalised help to its consumers, promoting higher satisfaction, trust, and loyalty. Lokesh Chandra, MSEDCL Chairman and Managing Director, stated that the energy chatbot can be accessed through the state power utility’s official website and mobile application.
DCM Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the necessity of using information technology, like as AI, to provide quality and customer service to MSEDCL customers. The ‘Urja’ chatbot is intended to act as a versatile tool for addressing a variety of client demands, such as grievance resolution, bill payment, and securing new electrical connections. Fadnavis also announced the purchase of 3,300 MW of renewable energy, hence lowering carbon footprints and assuring uninterrupted electricity supply.
